Permission to contact companies

This page explains the permission form in plain language. Read the full form before you sign it during setup. You can download your signed copy in Settings.

Early removal tests are a separate choice. Signing the permission form does not sign you up for tests. You can choose to take part, or stop taking part, in Settings.

What you give us permission to do

  • Ask a company to remove a public listing confirmed to be about you, or follow its published instructions to request deletion or stop the use of your details. A company may have no record of you. We use only instructions and contact details we have checked.
  • Ask what a company holds about you. To handle your request, we may share your name, country and state or region, and only the other details you choose to share.
  • Send a company your signed permission form to show that we may act for you.
  • Read replies sent to the email address we use for your requests, and open confirmation links for those requests.

What this does not let us do

  • Act for you in other matters, sign contracts, or take legal action.
  • Send your government ID to anyone. If a company asks for ID, you decide whether to send it to them yourself.
  • Sell or share your information for any other purpose.

What you confirm

  • The information you provide is about you and accurate.
  • You understand that removal is not guaranteed and your details may appear again. A sent request or a reply saying it was received does not prove the company held or deleted your data.

How to stop

Your permission lasts until you take it back. Deleting your account ends it immediately and stops new requests. Requests already sent cannot be recalled.

What we record when you sign

We keep a record of the exact wording you signed, your typed name, when you signed, your IP address and your browser. Your IP address and browser are left out of the signed copy shared with companies. If the permission changes, you must read and sign the new form before we send more requests. We do not rewrite your earlier signed copy.
